okay i'm not sure which of my 2 leos left this behind, but it appears to be a cricket, still whole, but it was either excreted or regurgitated. i found one of these in the tank once before but was unsure of what it was. can anyone help me out?

Without a picture it's hard to say, but usually when it's whole like you describe, it's regurgitated. Are you feeding large crickets? Remember, their food items should be no more than 3/4 of the size of their head & neck.

it actually was too big if that's the size limit... i buy the small crickets from the pet store and bigger ones get in the mix. you think just keep them smaller and it should stop?

Yes, definatly. Geckos do much, much better with smaller, more frequent meals than larger less often ones. Keep buying the smaller ones. If you get large ones mixed in, I would keep the reciept, separate the big guys & ask the petstore to exchange them. You DID pay for the small kind, after all (I bet they hate me over there ::main_laugh: )...i'm glad we could figure out your problem. Good luck with your critters! :)

Are you supplying enough belly heat for your little guy to properly digest his food? There are many reasons that'll lead to regurgitation, e.g. if he ate too much, food item too big, not enough heat, stress, or even parasites.
