Set the thermostat at 90. Check the ground temps to make sure the thermostat is accurate (unless it's digital, it may not be accurate). There's no need to change the setting at night. There will be some natural cooling down because of the change in ambient temps but 90 or so is also fine at all times.

Everyone sets theirs different Larry. Personally, mine is set at 93-94 ish. I've found mine to color up, and eat more heartily the higher temps I set them at.

From what i understand they need the higher degree in temp to help with digesting food. So a higher temp or hot spot is a good idea. I could be wrong just something that i have read somewhere on here i think.

i agree with heather, everyone has there own way, but i also agree with her that the 90-95 is best. and ive read numerous articles on the effects of temp and brightness of your geckos(not just in the incubator, but if you keep your temps too low in you tank, the colors will fade) but try the diff. ways and see what works for you......kyle

Well, I've had my leo for about 3 months, and since i got a uth instead of lamps and i put it at 94-97°F his coloring got brighter. He's a 2 year old now.
He also seems to eat better, even with the low night temps at the moment here (-10°C = +- 14°F I think)

Its true, everyone has their preferences. Hope this helps
