What the fuck is with people shipping lately?

I've got four packages coming today all with snakes in them and two of them are due before 3PM? :main_angry: WTF happened to people making sure that they arrive by 10AM? I got a package shipped this way last week as well and I'm really starting to get pissed. Not only do I want those animals out of the boxes and into tubs fast, but I've got shit to do and I can't spend the whole day looking out my window for FedEx or UPS to show up. The drivers that deliver here half the time just leave the package at the door and run, not even knocking or ringing the door bell. Someone that lived here before me must have put a signature on file for them to just leave packages. So most of the day I live hitting refresh on the tracking of packages to see when they are deliverd so I don't look like an idiot opening my front door 1,000 times during the day.

Wow here I am bitching and I hear a LITTLE tap at the door, if I had not been sitting in my living room I would have never heard it. I've got two boxes at my door, however only one is snakes. The other is a balloon order. Expect pics soon!!

I have had this happen alot too, and it is fuckin annoying as all hell..lol I think part of the problem is how the shipping is labeled when you print your bill. New people to the hobby might be checking off the wrong label. Because by 10am or 3pm fedex/upd give them both speedy names, as to seem that both are very quick. I dont know thats all i could come up with...lol

cause its cheeper to have them dropped off later in the day. they are probibly charging you for delivery by 10 am, and only paying for delivery by 3 there for putting an extra 10 bucks in their pocket

Yeah well the $10 savings is not something I'd think is worth risking stressing the animals longer or even risking their health since we are getting hotter days again. :main_angry:

One of the boxes just had a normal female and a het male (freebie), nothing to really look at. I think you know what one of the boxes is full of, since we've talked about them.

I have paid upwards of $87 on a 7x7x6 to get shipments there by 10am! People who ship animals after noon when given an early time are inconsiderate to say the least. I have never had one shipped late in the day, but if I do that will be the last animal they ever send me .

I freak out when the only option is end of day in some areas because I care. Why would a person take the risk purposely, even to save a few dollars?

So is there a way to guarentee a UPS shipment by 1030? I know you can with fed ex..I was told with ups it was "should be there before 12 but no guarentee"...and since ive been using shipyourreptiles as of late..ive been shipping ups and saying 12 because I thought that was the Best service they offered?

Chris, I only use UPS and get 10am delivery where possible. Some areas only offer by noon and other rural areas.. END OF DAY only.

noon delivery is cool , because they usually get there by 11 from my experience.

I've been using UPS next day air and the packages are there at 10:30 or noon for the places I've shipped. I know that we don't have 10:30 delivery here. Next day air here is noon.
