I hatched this really strange looking gecko from Electric X Bell parents. It has no color on it at all and it has a white tongue. The gecko pictured with it is it's full sibling. I am thinking this might be a true Axanthic leopard gecko. Keep it on the down low, I don't want anyone else to know.

HOLY COW, KELLI!!! That is a very, very cool gecko! The possiblilties of an axanthic gecko are incredible... a solid black gecko? I hope it proves out to be genetic! Mum's the word.

Very cool, Kelli!

I bet it's either a xanthic like you mentioned, or it's some bizzare fluke that won't prove to be genetic.

I'm hoping it's the former ;)

This IS awesome! I hope there's something to this, that would be great.

I'm with Jeremy, how old? And is it incubated for male for female.

OMG! That is so cool!!! I think it goes beyond xanthic...there's no red either. I don't remember the term, and don't feel like hunting for it. Anyway, it looks like a black & white photo of a gecko - if it weren't for the blue above the eyes! Just...wow.

I'm sure you would have said...but this is no Mack, right? Not that it looks like one anyway.

I should start saving pennies now... :D

I have to keep coming back to this thread to see this little one. Wow he/she is just amazing. I really hope it's genetic, an axanthic leo would be awesome!!!!

It's a couple months old now. It's a female, so I need to start thinking about what to breed to her. Maybe a Patternless Albino?

BOLD STRIPE!!! That would be sweet. Like a pinstripe suit. MMMM

I would guess ... assuming it's genetic ... that a PA will come out rather blizzard like - but who knows. Look at all the funky morph combos BPs have.

I think I'd breed her back to her dad. If it is a recessive trait you'll potentially have to wait an extra year to find out if it's genetic if you outcross now. You could get a Bell version next year, too, breeding back to dad. I'd be sure to pair up her parents again, too.

Shanti's right, though - a bold stripe version would be awesome!! Man, I hope it is genetic! :fingers crossed:
