I just looked at them. I wouldnt call them rainbow but Im not 100% sure what a rainbow is. There is an example of a rainbow on geckosetc.com morph guide.

The rainbows advertised on Kingsnake look like a red stripe/bold stripe cross.

Honestly there is so much crap on KS that I would take some things with a grain of salt if that makes sense. Like this underground reptiles company or whatever falsely advertised a bunch of leos and I wrote them a message. Who knows if they got it or if they care but it was pretty ridiculous what they were calling some stuff.

I want to know how an Approx 20 g male is a proven breeder!!

I have 6 week old hatchlings that weigh that!

In the past I have had males breed that small, but it was rare that it actually took. I have not bred a male that small though in 9 plus years. It can be done just don't expect much from it, and the female being two to three times his size usually dictates he gets a good a** whippin.

They have a place on their site that says they have Adults for sale. Under the description they wrote 4-6" leopard geckos.

Im sorry a 4-6" leopard gecko is barely half grown, not an adult...

HAHA Landen and Ga_Herps, that is good stuff.

No not knocking KS at all, just some of the people on there, you can tell the ones that are just pushing animals. Buyer beware is all.

Just because they're sexually able to breed doesn't mean that they should be bred. Also @ 20 g's that would have to be a thin gecko even at first possibility of being sexually mature. Some people get in too big of a rush and don't think about the wellfare of their animals. Just my opinion....

Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but I can honestly say he was in no way skinny. I have never bred a gecko that was looking even the slightest bit skinny, and I do believe I am probably one of the most careful when it comes to breeding with the welfare of the animal involved. I don't pair but once for each female and thats it. If I dont get the genetic trait I am lookin for in the 4 to 6 set of eggs I get from any given female then oh well next season is just 10 to 12 months away.

Gettin back to the original questions yes those look like rainbows to me. I have not had any for 10 years though so its cool to see they still have some going.

honestly, though, (and i'm not sure if this is permitted...) i bought a female bold stripe from that breeding company last fall (first time buying online...), somewhat seduced by a buy one, get one free sale. the 'free' baby bell albino never opened its eyes in my presence, never ate on its own volition, never responded to any other treatments (rehydrating, etc.), and grew a huge lump under its eye within about a month of me owning it. It eventually died, and i felt horrible since i've never had a leopard gecko die since i began keeping them roughly 10 years ago. i recognize i probably could have done more to help the baby, but it was not right from the get go, and i can't help but think about it as a "free give away" from that breeder. i didn't contact the breeder or ask for a replacement or anything like that, as i was new to buying online and also didn't want another of their geckos. now, (to compare and to end on a positive) my little bold stripe from them is doing really well, great eater, growing lots, and a sweet little gecko.

i just feel guilty, but also think the gecko didn't come from having the best care (as mentioned by others' in their opinions of the website/advertisements).
