What's better? Vermiculite or Perlite

I use vermiculite...mainly because I'm used to it's properties (and I'm too cautious to change anything!)

Same here! If it's not broken, don't try to fix it etc.

I would be concerned with using Perlite in my nest boxes. It has a bit of a rough texture to it in my opinion. I would be afraid of an egg getting tore while the gecko mommy tried to roll it around.
I was curious what other people thought about the different options. Ive personally always used Perlite, cause its all my local garden store had out of all the options. I continue to use it cause Ive never had any trouble out of it. =)
Its great to hear everyone's opinions and experiences with stuff.

I have never had a egg busted or damaged in the nest box since I started this method. All my eggs come out snow white and make it very easy to candle them.
