First season ('06): 10 clutches, 20 eggs, 20 live hatches

Second season ('07): 11 clutches, 22 eggs, 12 live hatches

Third season ('08): 6 clutches, mostly laid outside the lay box, only 2 live hatches since most of the eggs shriveled up by the time I found them

Fourth season ('09): I'm watching her really carefully and keep putting her in the lay box as the eggs get bigger inside her. Last Friday I came home and found 1 egg on the floor of the heated upstairs level, already starting to dent. I put her in the lay box again. An hour later, I found the second egg exactly where the first had been. This time I got to it in time and I think it's going to be OK.

Why is she doing this? (She has been seen in the lay box at other times)

I got her as an older juvie, born in '05. She was just about a year old and over 50 grams the first season, and is now 4 years old. This will probably be her last season. She has been bred only by me. She was bred to one of my males in '06, to a different male for 2 consecutive years ('07, '08) and is with my third male this year. She eats well and seems "content" with everything else.
