What's in store for the future?

After turning my head away from the hobby for several years, I come back and find all of these Eclipses and Supernovas and all sorts of other astronomical phenomenons have shown up and become commonplace (well, maybe not quite yet) in the hobby. This got me to thinking, "Are people ever finally going to run into a brick wall, and suddenly realize there's nothing left to make? Will there be so many morphs that the genetics become so muddled we don't know what to make out of them? Will this make prices for pedigree geckos skyrocket?"
I'm starting to ramble.:main_rolleyes:
Clearly, there's still some new and exciting stuff waiting to happen. The first things that came to my mind were true melanistics and dwarfs.

What are everyone's thoughts on this?

As a wise man said in an interveiw about leos the sky is the limit with these guys we may hit a brick wall but what has been accomplished with them so far is nothing short of mind blowing.

Seeing how many morphs have popped up in the last 15 years I'd venture to say that there is no brick wall in sight. These days there are several solid white geckos with red eyes, but they all produce different things regardless of how similar they are in appearance. There are too many possible combos for me to believe that a brick wall even exists in the Leo hobby.

In the reptile hobby, everytime you would think a brick wall is hit, something slips through a crack on the other side... There are plenty of unlocked genetics floating around just waiting to pop up...

We have still yet to see a true melanistic leo, a true leucistic leo, no T- albinos and a bunch of other morphs that can come about...
I think the future holds lots of cool morphs...
Personally, I would pass on the dwarf!!!

It'd be my dream to see an all white blue eyed super giant <3

There's a lot to explore with the cooler colors, haven't seen much of those, the blue tails and lavenders are the only ones I can remember rit now. Its fun to wonder what will come out in the next 20 years of the hobby :3.

While some are running up the mountain full speed, others are painting the lines on the road for others to follow ;)
