So, over time more and more morphs have popped up in the leopard gecko world. It is expected that once many people have certain morphs, they will all be trying for something new, as I'm sure many of you are. What I was wondering was, what can we look forward to in the near and even distant future? Morphs such as enigmas are on the rise, but what can we expect that maybe has not showed up yet?

I'd like to see an orange Blizzard and I'm going to work on it next year. I read in an old chat transcript on KS that Kelli was working on this and planned calling them Dreamsicles.

Gecko Morphs

Hi,

As an ameteur breeder I ask myself this all the time, but i doubt you will get an answer that represents any real 'truth' as i thought most people keep projects secret ?? It's like coca cola givng their recipie away ??? Maybe I'm wrong??
Whatever, I'm sure the Leo world will produce some stunning morphs agai this year :main_thumbsup:

Cheers

Adam

Yes Im anxious to see this blue gecko i have heard of. And strangley enough I was wondering if you could tang out a blizzard..or patternless today on the way home from the petstore. That would be cool. I also havent seen a wide variaty of "albino blizzards" or bannana blizzards? I was wondering why they arent more widley available like the albino pattys are.

I don't know about you guys but wouldn't an orange blizzard be basically the samething as a shtctb without the carrot tail? I don't know, maybe that's just how I picture them.

With all the new morphs now avalible were going to find it hard to get normals in the future and they will become the new in morph so how much will you be paying to get your hands on a rare normal :main_laugh: :main_laugh: :main_laugh: .

whats a windy city blue?

Robin, The Windy City Gecko (site under Site Sponsors) are attempting to create an all blue gecko. As of now they only have a little color on the head, but they, at leats it seems to me, are going to continue to line breed them.

I was talking to Michael(420Geckos) and he explained it more as, he feels if we have High Yellow, we can have High Orange. Maybe that helps a little? I'm not the best when it comes to the genetics, so I can't explain the differences.

It would LOOK similar, but definitely not the same thing... :main_rolleyes:

I believe that soon there will be bell/LV RAPTORs hitting the market. And by that I dont mean just eclipsed albinos, I mean eclipse, albino, CH, CT, tangerine patternless stripes. By now there should be some "Eclipses 66% het tremper albino" that are being test bred which will turn out not to be het tremper. Then those will be bred to the other albino lines...

Trempers emerald morph will come out in 2008 I guess, since hes releasing the DB's this year.

I think a CHSHTCT would look pretty cool. (carrot head SHTCT)

It would be cool if a T- amelanistic gene popped up.

Im also sure people are working on seeing if the pattern of super snows can be altered, such as with stripes, reverse stripes, patternless stripes, etc.

Thats my point... why pay loads of money for an orange blizzard when you can get a sht that looks the same for much less... The only difference would be genetically. IMHO I think its just not that big of a deal to me, granted I'd need to see one to build an opinion. It may be more of a pastel orange, and if they could work an eclipse gene into them I would say thats cool. But the way I picture it now is just a recreation of a sht through a blizzard. Again though, I'd have to see one.

I'm guessing just because of future morphs that could result form it.

Honestly, I'm only going for it because I think it'd be cool. I never even thought about marketing it. You have a good point and it's just like the Diablo Blano deal...
