What's the Biggest Mistake New Gecko Breeders Make?

I've been keeping geckos for a while now, and lately I've been thinking about what separates successful breeders from those who struggle during their first breeding season.

When I first started learning about breeding, I assumed that pairing a healthy male and female was the hardest part. The more I read and the more experienced keepers I talk to, the more I realize that breeding is actually only the beginning. Please can any one vouch for this reptile site i love the pricing

There are so many factors that can influence success, including:

• Choosing healthy, mature breeders.
• Providing proper nutrition before the breeding season.
• Maintaining stable temperatures and humidity.
• Correct incubation methods.
• Egg handling.
• Hatchling care.
• Knowing when not to breed certain animals.

I've also noticed that many experienced breeders emphasize patience over rushing into producing babies. A lot of beginners seem eager to pair geckos as soon as possible, but experienced keepers often recommend waiting until the animals are fully mature and in excellent condition.

So I'd love to hear from the experienced breeders here.

If you could give ONE piece of advice to someone breeding geckos for the very first time, what would it be?

Was there a mistake you made that taught you an important lesson?

Glad to see you're doing your research! I was a gecko breeder for 13 years, though I'm not doing that anymore. I'd say the two most important pieces of advice I would give are:
1. Start small (maximum 1 male and 2 females) and keep good records
2. Incubator: If you're using an incubator that only heats and doesn't cool make sure it will be in a place where the ambient temperature doesn't get higher than your maximum incubation temp, because the non-cooling incubator can't provide temps below the ambient temperature.

I don't know anything about the site you linked to. I think the most reliable site is morphmarket.com for a large market that showcases a variety of breeders and lets them set their prices.
