I have the ability to order many different types of worms, I was wondering everyones opinion on whats best? Obviously variety is a good thing. I have also seen a lot of posts about mealworms, and have always been under the impression that meal worms werent the best thing to feed a leopard (especially young ones).
I currently feed crickets, hornworms and butterworms.

Primarily, dubia roaches. Occasionally, mealworms. Rarely, crickets, since our cresties seem to like them more than the leos.

Roaches are the best food for leos but I am not allowed to have them where I live.
I feed super worms to the adults and mealworms to the babies/juveniles. I feed crickets occasionally. I also feed waxworms a few times a year.

My babies grow really well on mealworms. There is nothing wrong with feeding them to young leos.

Dubais are illegal in Canada so I can't use them D;

I use superworms, mealworms, crickets, waxworms, phoenix worms, butterworms, hornworms.
I'm planning on trying a few silkworms as well.

My leo's diet consist mainly of silkworms(used to be a straight staple) I now add in phoenixworms,hornworms,and crickets(although I cant STAND crickets). I live in Canada as well and unfortunately cant get my hands on roaches, but silkworms are nutritionally the best feeder I can get my hands on locally:main_thumbsup:. There absolutely a great feeder and require no gut-loading. I would strongly encourage you to get your hands on some, my leos have put on great weight since I got them.

Some good info to read about silkworms if you haven't already. http://www.silkwormshop.com/benefits.html

Mine are fed dubia roaches & superworms as staples, with crickets every other week as treats.

I use mealworms and small dubia nymphs for young geckos.

I read that one hornworm is the equivilant to 4 silkworms, 36 crickets, or 72 mealworms. I feed a lot of butters.

Our leo goes through stages of not wanting to chase crickets but majority of her diet consists of a mix of: crickets, meal worms and phoenix worms. We found a store that sells dubia roaches and have recently introduced those to her with great success. Phoenix worms not needing to be gutloaded is a great benefit.

Mine are on a staple of mealworms, with the occasional waxworm as a treat.

Feeding only dubias has been known to cause GOUT

That's interesting, I've never heard that before. Are dubias particularly high in uric acid?
