My oldest grandson, 10, went outside and captured this gecko by hand. He is so good at this. It is not native to Texas. I have failed to find it online. Any thoughts? The last image is probably the best. It is in a flightless fruit fly bowl in the terrarium. The top of its head is a lovely auburn shade. The triangular pattern shows well along its back and tail. Notice how it has "colored up" as it gets used to the terrarium. In the last photo you can see a fruit fly resting on its head - totally at home and really colored up. So nice. Someone locally ID'd it as a brown anole. Could be.

I don't know what it is. How have you researched online? If you haven't done any of these suggestions, try them:
--put the picture of the lizard in the google search box. I tried to do it but I couldn't get the image to work for me
--wherever you're located, google "lizards of ________" and you may get more info
--contact your local or state herp society, send them a picture and ask them.

Good luck, let us know what you find out.
