Anyone know when i should starting seeing a baby growing inside the egg? For one of my eggs its been incubating for about a month now and the other has been in two weeks

The month egg has visable red veins all over the egg everywhere but no signs of a baby?!

The two week egg has visable veins as well, maybe like only four or so

Any idea when i should start seeing a baby forming inside the egg?

Thanks

I'm really curious on when i shall see my FIRST Ever babys inside their eggs! lol

I have not sought to accurately track the visible progression, but immediately in many cases if you count the bullseye. Now, in mere days (about a week or less), I can see the heart beating at the center. After that, I can usually see a more developed animal at around the two to three week mark, depending upon whether I am incubating for males or females. This all obviously depends heavily upon the individual egg, conditions, luck, and the observer's visual accuity, of course. When it's a week or so out from hatching, the impatience starts to set in because the development is very far along and I'm looking forward more to getting a look at the emerged hatchling. Sorry the numbers are not more concrete, but it's never been something I've focused on. It would be a pain with so many eggs (for me) and my schedule.

Well, I just checked my clutch of Diablo Blanco eggs that were laid yesterday, and I can see the beating heart in those, so I guess my new "record" is one day.

Weird, all i can see are veins! lmao... But maybe i don't have a good enough eye to view the beating heart or a good enough light to view inside the egg

but with all those veins and everything, you'd think you would be able to see atleast something... lol

The heart is only noticeable to me when it's small and still the center of the bullseye. After that, it's a couple to a few weeks of just looking at a web of blood vessels until I see the baby moving around at the bottom. I use a white LED held right above the top of the egg, shining down, and viewing from the side. If you do this for a minute, you might see the baby raise its head, shift its body, or whip its tail a little.

You know what??? I bet if you left the egg alone, it might actually hatch... Then you can actually see a live healthy neonate... Constantly opening the container and candeling the egg is not recommended... When it comes to eggs the best rule to go by is "set them and forget them"... I saw this quote a long time ago somewhere (I think Albeys site) and could not agree more with it...
