What month do your geckos start ovulating. The poll will allow multipul choices, so you can put down the several month/s that you see most of your female/s begin ovulating in. Thanks!
one of my females started about a month ago. I placed one of my males in there and i now have 2 eggs. One thing i see and maybe it is me, she seems to be holding them longer. I also have 2 other females holding eggs now
I think it depends on what region you live in. It seems that in warmer climates such as in California, Arizona or Florida, the weather is warmer and they can start earlier in the year. I live in PA the weather here is hot and cold, back and forth. I have one female that started ovulating early Jan. and the rest of my girls arent yet. The one that has been ovulating went off food in Dec. and she was only 8 months old, weighing in at 60.2 grams. The females that are over age 1 (weigh 70+ and are still hungry) have yet to ovulate... still waiting.. trying tricks... :main_huh: I am sure other circumstances will affect this also.
Most of my females last year didn't start ovulating until may-july. I recently just had a female ovulate at the end of January and another one today just noticed. But both these females are first time breeders so it might be iffy on fertile eggs.
