Dark normals seem to work the best. I would outcross every 4 or 5 generations to another dark male. It would work well if you have two black projects running at one time so you have two projects that are non-related. Then, you can cross your best male from project one, into project two, and vise-versa.

I would say it will just have to be luck that you find some dark ones. It will take a LONG time to make this project if you start with normals that have lots of black spotting. I would talk to the people who are doing the projects and ask how they went about it.

an all black gecko would be neat to see but i wouldnt buy it because it would probably be 1000 dollars and i dont see why some would charge so much for a gecko im shocked by what people charge for raptors and eclipse and all those others out there i just dont get it.

It all comes down to basic economics with the Supply and Demand curve. Demand is high and supply is low, there for the price is higher :main_thumbsup:

I have 2 new females and 1 new male to prove out. I will post my results regardless of the outcome.

My ideal on price is whatever you would want to pay then thats the price to charge. I seen some very nice morphs but the price is keeping me away from owning any.

Its funny how much Tremper Albinos were when they first came out also, and now they run about $20-50 a piece. Same thing with Blizzards, and Patternless.

That doesn't sound to just, just a way to charge more money. Like buying a 400 dollar dog just because for that year its in style. The most ill ever pay for and animal and have is 200 any more and i think it gets ridiculous, im not trying to be rude or anything so im sorry if i sound rude. I would like to own say and eclipse im just not willing to pay 300 or more just because the supply is low. Im willing to wait or never own one even.
