MINISTAT 100 heat mats up to 100 watts.
MINISTAT 300 bulbs, heatmats etc. up to 300watts.
also worth noting...
Position the ministat sensor in the vivarium approximately 225mm (9 inches) away from the heat source. This is to ensure the sensor is measuring air temperature and not direct heat. Always use a thermometer to check the temperature of the vivarium and adjust the ministat as required to give the required temperature

malt_geckos said:You want the thermostat to measure the direct heat not the air heat since belly heat in leopard geckos is direct. We rubber band the probe to a small block of wood and put it over the heat tape with the wood on top of the probe to hold the probe down. We turn our thermostat up to 94 and it makes the belly heat in the tub around 92.
And I think for your purpose I would go with Johnson control like Matt told you.![]()

Nigel4less said:I own a few Helix's aswell as 2 Herpstat ND's. I prefer the Helix overall, I just prefer the simplicity of the Helix over the Herpstat. Don't get me wrong, they are both great Thermos, but my favorite will always be Helix's.
