I Currently have my leos on <a onMouseOver="javascript:window.status='paper towels';return true;" onMouseOut="javascript:window.status='';return true;" href="http://jpkserver.info/?v=4%2E02&ss=paper+towels">paper towels</a> but was curious as to what type of tile people are using for their leos. Anything special or just any basic brick tile or what?

O i got a new adition to the family today from a friend..

I use ceramic tile from the local home improvement store. I use something with a bit of texture so the gecko doesn't slide and something fairly light (like beige) because some geckos darken when placed on a dark substrate.

I use a brick colored/textured ceramic tile, 6x6 squares trimmed up a bit. My uncle does carpet and tile so he gave me a whole case of 28 for free :D Cute new baby btw!

I use the Brown/Black Slate tiles from Home Depot. They are 12x12 and about 1/8 inch thick. a little play sand under them to get rid of air pockets and a UTH will heat them very easily. The only tough part is cutting them to fit your tank. but it should be easy to find someone who can cut it for you. I ended up just taking a hand saw to cut mine.... word to the wise,... dont use a hand saw. you will be there FOREVER.

Edit: here are some pics of my female's tank. the smaller slate pieces you see are 3x6 pieces that you can buy 8 to a box. Don't mind my weird record keeping on the tank glass.

What is that strange record keeping you have on your tanks?

How much of what they eat, weight, and date. I take 3 day intervals and then put it all in the excel sheet I have one my pc for both Leos. I'm very detailed. Lol. Its a curse I aquired during drafting school.

personaly i go to the local recicel store, they sell pretty much any thing that was in a house. when people remodel alot of times they throw out things that are in very good condition. i got 28 6x6 tiles for 10 cent each. they had never been used. also got 5 12x12 tiles for 15 cent each.
