As far as understanding the female population, well... I don't even understand the human population, so I guess I'll just leave it at that.

I know this post is a few days old, just wanted to say that you just think we're different and I agree with Gregg. We're basically the same, although we mostly say exactly what's on our minds when we want to. When a girl tells you nothing's wrong if you are her b/f it means you know what's wrong so you tell me what it is. If you are someone else either they dont want to talk or they dont want to talk to you. Not really as hard as it seems, just like guys saying "I'll call you tomorrow", when obviously that's not gonna happen. Figure out the situation before you actually analyze the words.
