Bell albino enigmas do indeed look like they have the customary melanistic spots.
They're the only albinos that do. The enigma brings it out, so really, it's the only combination that does.

You do realize that Albino and Black spots (unless paradox) is an oxymoron. They may have darker brown spots, but they are not black. If you post pictures we will better be able to help you with your issue/concern.

Here is a close up of my bell albino enigma, as you said the spots are dark brown and if you look on the whiter parts they look pretty black.

Yours seems to have dark brown and black spots. Interesting. Awesome eye btw.

She is a little doll, and her first clutch has been in the incubator for 3 weeks now and looking great so far :)

If the spots are not black its as close to black that you can get lol

So what's the visual difference between brown and black spots on a normal?
There's a reason I used the word "melanistic" and not "black".

I didn't realize my post was going to be dissected when I made it. ;P

I will clarify further: "melanistic-appearing" spots.
As in: visual description of phenotype, not cellular-level definition of genotype.

Those eyes are why I fell in love with Bell enigmas to begin with.

I should quit coming here on days I try to cheer myself up.
Sorry guys. =(

Janece, you should know that was a joke! You know me better than most others here. Your posts are always a plethora of good information. I love that word plethora, I don't use it enough!

Owens, you know me as well and I'm sure you both know I'm the "trouble maker" around these parts!
