Why couldn't the carrottail gene be simple recessive?

...so I wouldn't have to spend all these years trying to consistently produce carrottails!! =)

I got lucky with my eclipse/patternless stripe project because it took less than five generations, but my hypo tangerine/carrottail project has been going on for almost a decade!

Thanks everyone!

True true, I remember the excitement I had when I first purchased "golden hypos" from Albey many years ago. This was wayyy before the Ray Hine carrottail line/hypo or tangerine lines even existed! These were yellow geckos with just hints of orange on the tail that cost hundreds of dollars! It's amazing how far leopard geckos have developed!
