Grrr... I am having trouble with getting my geckos to keep eating and growing because they are all horny. All the girls are ovulating, even the ones that are less than 50 grams. All the boys digging or just pouting.

What can I do to stop these raging hormones? I am mostly concerned with the females.. the males I dont care as much since they are all good weights.

Does it help to keep the girls in separate rooms from the boys or at least gravid females? I think I did this before and it worked but I cant really remember.

You can't really stop ovulation and I really wouldn't try. Geckos often have a set internal clock that triggers ovulation regardless of environmental factors. I would just keep offering food and avoid pairing anyone not up to weight and try and ride it out.

ROFLMAO!!!!

Normal behavior. It's that time of year.

Nothing really, aside from having them sterilized. Keep offering different types of food. I find that my ovulating females will only eat when I decide I need to sleep. So if it's possible, switch up the diet as often as possible.

It might help the males, but I don't think it will help your females. They're really particular during ovulation. I find that I have to offer like, 4 different kinds of insects during ovulation season. I had one female go off food for 3 months straight. NOTHING to eat. All of a sudden, she got hungry and her bowl was empty one morning. Just keep offering all kinds of different stuff. Variety is the key, IMO.
