This reminds me of the mad tv abercrombie and fitch vs Lane Bryant lol

Seriously, If any kind of negative comments were made, I would take it as a concern for the leos health. Obesity in reptiles causes just as many problems for them as it does for humans. Fatty liver killls many a herp. I doubt very seriously anyone meant it as a negative.

I agree 100%

There is no need to take any personal offense on this forum. Worst case scenario someone called your gecko fat. I mean is that really something to get so upset about that you lose interest in the forums? Your gecko looks very nice, but does have a big belly. I have read of multiple people in here making fun of there own leos because they need a diet or something. Take it as a grain of salt and just enjoy all the POSITIVE things that this forum has to offer.

I think all the geckos in this post are gorgeous :) From experiance i have found some put weight on easier than others and a "chubby" gecko is better than a skinny starved one :)

I call one of mine Peppa the Pig because she is so chubby :D She was fairly thin when we got her and growing a lot so she was eating a lot. Now she seems to have stopped growing she is chubby but i dont love her any less for it :)

Bubba on the other hand eats like a pig, i call him the dustbin cos anything one of the other leos doesnt want i give to him and he almost has my hand off :laugh4: He is growing nicely but doesnt seem to pack the weight on yet :(

Either way unless your gecko is unhealthy fat just keep doing what your doing :main_thumbsup:

she looks beautiful. i have a chunky gecko and i am proud of her, she is very healthy and was also a rescue. i find that each gecko i have has a varrying body type. some are average proportion, some have long torsos are wide heads, some are short and lean and some are long and a tad chunky

The worse thing you can do to your gecko is neglecting it. I'd rather see a fat gecko then a skinny, neglected gecko.

OMG she's not even fat. Maybe a little plump, but none the less a good looking Leo! To be honest, I like a nice fat leo with a big plump tail. (Do you remember that MC Hammer song LOL)

Just wait until I get home, I'll post a picture of Blair whom I picked up from Kristi. She eats at least 1 Male Dubia (now that's a big roach) everyday. Once and a while when she's particularly motivated she'll eat a Male and two large nymphs.

This girl is a pig, but we love her and feed her all she can eat. No Jenny Craig diet plans for our Leo's going on at our place...
