we took willie to the vet today. the past two days she has been just blah about everything. it was also time for her to shed, but she wasn't even trying to get her skin off.

the vet (same dr. that saved her life shortly after my boyfriend rescued her), took xrays of her and said she has two "monster eggs" inside and they're pushing everything around. poor precious willie!

so he gave her a shot of oxytocin, and told us to take her home and keep an eye on her. he said if no eggs by tomorrow morning, to give her some more oxytocin that he gave to us.

if no eggs by monday, she goes back to the vet and he said we'd go over other options. she is at my boyfriend's house right now bc he lives maybe 15 miles from the vet, versus the 80 mile drive it is for me. i wish i could be there with her, but i have to work tomorrow. i'm at the mercy of phone calls with updates and its agony!

please keep willie in your thoughts! she is absolutely precious...and since her nickname is "pieces", she is our "precious pieces." as much as i would love to hatch her babies, i just want her to be ok.

thank you so much you guys.

he did have to give her another dose of oxytocin this morning. he said before he went to work it looked like she might be trying to lay them. he called the vet today also and they said give her until monday or tuesday and bring her back in.

i'm so worried! its so funny how you can love something SO little SO much!

I know what you mean. My female Kiya, who was my first leo, got really sick and passed away. It was so hard watching her and knowing she was in pain but not being able to do anything. I have my fingers crossed that she lays her eggs and makes a recovery.

well willie laid one HUGE egg yesterday morning, and last night she laid one really small egg. the xrays we saw made it look like she had two huge eggs, and she still looks kinda fat, so we're wondering if maybe she has one more smaller egg inside. :main_huh:

my boyfriend is going to call this vet today and see what he says. i feel so much better though. thank you everyone for the well wishes for willie. hopefully we can get her to eat within the next day or so. she's lost a good bit of weight in the past two weeks.

willie laid a 3rd egg tonight! omg! 3 eggs...ha!

the first egg was really long and tube like. the second one was REALLY small and round...like a fireball jawbreaker.

this 3rd eggs looks perfect! hopefully its good! i have the incubator, so i have to go get the egg from my boyfriend. but for now its in moss in a gladware container on the warmer side of willie's tank. i hope that will be ok until i can get to it!

i am so relieved! now if he can just get her eating again...

It sounds to me like her first set wouldn't pass and then a second set developed right behind them. What a good lil' mama...poor thing! Extra calcium for her...? Maybe some waxies?
