i was wondering if it was normal for a gecko to be under a rock everyday and never come out. He only comes out to eat.

Geckos are by nature nocturnal, and will usually hide. Have you seen him come out at night?

if he is eating fine and everything, I wouldnt worry about it. They are nocturnal so it likely comes out while you are sleeping. Some of my leos hide more then others.

Not at all, most owners don't use any type of lamp. The only reason some do is to allow for easier night time viewing. It's really just a preference. :main_thumbsup:
