Would this work?

Right now my Crestie is in a 20 gallon long, on its side, and the screen is held on by duck tape...well we want to change that haha.

I have a few options for tanks, I'm mainly looking for something, well large enough but that holds humidity really well, because here in Alaska, we have like..no humidity.

So I've got a few choices if people could give me opinions.
It will just be housing one Crested.

I found this, which looks interesting, but it's sides are acrylic, or something, would he be able to stick to it? It seems he can't climb much, like the t.v screen, walls in my house and things like that..but he can climb his glass.
But I guess if I bulked it up with leaves and plants it'd be okay?

This one only comes in 18x12x20 but me and my mom really like it

Next one...size I want, 18x18x24

And this one, also 18x18x24

Or if anyone has any other suggestions!

That looks very similar to the exo-terra terrariums which is where I keep my crestie. I think that would work well. To maximize humidity, you should consider a planted tank and maybe lay some plexiglass over part of the top to keep in the moisture.

they all three look good to me I have never worked with the first one. The second exo-terra is what I keep my tokays and cresteds in really good tanks easy access with the double doors plus the bottom holds plenty of water for plants our a viv for frogs and what not. The third seems just like the second.

Mine can all climb the glass but even my young one has trouble gripping sometimes

About the first one, does it seem to small? That was the only reason we didn't think about getting it.

for one that would be fine. I always like to go bigger just to make it more realistic plus you can always add more cresteds to it I have never worked with plexi-glass but im sure it would fine

ahh okay, good, it says approx. 20 gallons per each gecko, and I worked it out and that acrylic one is about 18.7 gallons, so that's pretty good. I only have one male and don't plan on getting anymore until I move out haha.

And to ship one of those Exo terra tanks here it's an extra 100 dollars, so that's almost 300 for it......

When I move out I'll set up some large ones and get a few females and such.

The size of the first one is OK, but over time the acrylic WILL scratch. The glass will look good its entire life. I'd go with either of the last two. :main_yes:

Glass is better than acrylic in my opinion.

Just a tip on the humidity...I had the same problem in our room the humidity was non-existent. We got a humidifier for the room Puzzle is in and the humidity levels leaped right up to where they need to be, and Puzzle has had a very successful shed, and his tank never dries out, I don't even need to mist it. Just a thought. :)

Do you have a home depot out there in Fairbank? Maybe you can woRk with a see through tub or something to save a few bucks.Just a suggestion to help you out with a large enclosure being you dont have the local shops etc.HTH.

Yeah that's why I was thinking of the first one, because it's not 100-200 dollars to ship it and it seems roomy enough, but if we have too, we'll just stick with what he's got..

I won't really be moving the acrylic one anywhere, it's mainly just going to stay in one place haha, but my mom says it will scratch, I just have to be careful with it..

But I haven't made up my mind about anything yet...

I do have a home depot, and it would prolly be the same price for the acrylic, but would be smaller then the acrylic one.
