Yes it's another "what would you breed her with"

So, I have this exceptional tang female (see pic) that will be ready to breed next season and I am looking for ideas on what to breed her with.

I could keep it simple and find a comparable male tang for her or maybe a tang bell. That is what I am thinking anyway. There are just so many nice looking geckos starting to show up that keep focused :uhoh2:.

I have raptors/dreamsicle/patternless already. So any combination of those I can get. I was looking for something different or that would look good with some tang. I'm not sure if there are morphs that work especially well with tangs or not, so just looking for ideas.

Thanks
Keith

Forgive the pic it is the best one I have that shows her colors/pattern.

It is endless what you could breed her with, haha. I guess it really depends on what you wanted to produce. Do some research on morphs and see what you like. I myself would either breed her to another exeptional male tang, or a tang enigma. You could also start a creamsicle project and breed her to a mack snow. That takes generations of breeding, but I guess it just depends on you. I see some green in her. Maybe you could go for emerines?? I don't know a whole lot about those or how to produce them, but I am sure someone on here could tell you. Good luck!! Great looking gecko. = )

With a gecko with that stunning coloration I would also stick with the tang project. A male of similar coloration would be a good choice, I'd also consider possibly a tang bell if you want to go the albino route. Creamsickles are a fun project but snow is only going to decrease that spectacular orange and would take some very careful long term line breeding to get good results. I might also consider a pure eclipse male, Eclipse tangs are beautiful animals and you could get some nice coloration from the tang. Again, it all depends on how in depth you want to go, for immediate results, you can't go wrong with a comparible tang, for long term, there are many options.

Good advice T-rexx.

I don't think I have seen any eclipse tangs. I will have to look into that. I have been wanting to get some giant genes into my projects so maybe I can find something along those lines.

I know there are a gazillion combinations that I could do, but I have one Enigma/albino group already so I was leaning towards a non enigma/albino project. Some of those bells though are amazing.

While I have a very strong textbook understanding of how genetics work I don't have much practical experience on what works well together and this is the main reason I am asking this question.

Thanks
Keith

I'd definitely just keep her pure, and purchase a similar looking tangerine male or a super nice tangerine enigma (no albino genes).
