Here is my 12g nano cube. All reef now (no fish). It is approximatley 5 years old, and is at this point self sufficient (ie only a bimonthly water change with ocean water, no supplementation of any kind).

Thread bookmarked for when I finish my tanks (I'll post pics). Hopefully by August, the second by the same time next year.

Planned:

Tank 1:
70 gallon brackish tank with ghost shrimp, tadpole snails, bumblebee gobies, and figure 8 puffers. Dwarf spikerush, java moss, water sprite. I will be trying to achieve something close to a balance where the shrimp and snails reproduce fast enough to maintain a stable population while providing a activity and be a supplementary food source for the puffers. Considering what gluttons puffers are, I don't expect to be successful in that.

Tank 2:
Undetermined size. Freshwater. Harlequin Rasbora, glassfish, kuhli loaches, neon tetra, cherry shrimp, bumblebee shrimp, possibly black phantom/emperor/congo tetra and possibly pristella tetra. Anubias, java moss, baby tears, amazon sword, sagittaria sebulata, aponogeton crispus. This will be a surprise birthday gift to my niece.

Both will be walstad low tech tanks. I will be building stands for both.

Really though, money is an issue, acrylic isn't cheap, and my terrarium project is a higher priority... and even that is behind a couple of other projects, so August is VERY optimistic.
