So its pAt for now until its old enough to sex. Would you say pAt is a creamsicle? What would you guess the age at? Ive had pAt for about a month now, Im thinking pAt is a 4-5 months old. When is pAt old enough to be in my adult crested, Lewis's home? I dunno, what do you think? :D:D

I'd say pAT is 3 to 4 months, if it was feed well. DO NOT put it with your adult gecko. pAT is small enough that an adult could really hurt or kill pAT. Cute gecko by the way, I like the white fringe on the back legs.

I'm assuming that your adult, Lewis, is a male. If pAt turns out to be a male, it will never be a good idea to put them together. If it turns out to be a female then you will have to wait till she is of proper breeding age and size before you put her in with Lewis, and then you have to decide if you're ready to deal with crestie babies. I only have one crestie, but it was very obvious when he became sexable that he was male.

Thanks for your replies. Im thinking I might part with pAt in the new year to a fellow reptile lover. I already have a crested, 8 month old, and a Leopard, so two is enough. The more i think about it the less i feel like breeding the little cuties.

plus if pAt is a female then you wouln't be able to keep them together year round. the male would stress her out.

So would it be better if pAt grew up with Lewis who is a male rather than stick pAt(assuming hes a male) in with Lewis when he's big enough at a later date? Is it better that young male cresties grow up together instead of introducing them ? Two young female cresties cohabitate better? your thoughts...

DO NOT PUT THEM TOGETHER IF BOTH ARE MALE, EVER. The only way you can keep 2 males together is if both are juvies and the same size. As males get older they will fight and they will lose tails or worse. Keep pAT away from Lewis until it is older and only introduce them in the same enclosure if pAT is female and near adult size ( 30 to 35 grams). Females do great together as long as they are close in size. I have 5 in a 40 gal., 3 in a 30 gal. and 4 juvies in a ten gal. and have not had any problems other than one small tail nip.
