Well I think i've pretty much lost hope for these eggs. Today they both candled yellow. There are some light, sparse veins in one of them but not too many. Im sure I would have seen a developing embryo by now. (Day 32) I thought things were going well when they swelled. If I could have ONE THING go right this year, this was it. This really sucks.

I would tell you if they have not molded yet let them cook. I had my first egg this year, and I was really ready to throw it out. It had started to dent. Pretty bad denting actually. So I did some reading and decided that since it was not molding that I would just add alittle water to the container, and let it go. I candled it a few times and didnt really see anything that told me it was a good egg. But one day I came home and to my overwhelming surprise I had a little one in the container. I was so happy. Just be patient and you will get a good egg if the ones you have arent good.

These eggs were so fertile it wasn't even mistakable. They were red, red red until today. And when I looked at them today, I couldn't really see when I candled it from bottom to top. So I held the flashlight sideways and I thought maybe, just MAYBE I saw some darkness on one half. Maybe I was faking myself out. You have no idea how much I truly hope this works out. But I really don't think so at this point. I guess i'll just leave it in there. Until it leaks or rots or collapses I guess. I guess I'll know when it's REALLY bad.

sounds for me as if they're making the normal developping... they won't candle red the whole Incubation period! Just let them cook and maybe you'll be very happy in 2-4 weeks! As long as they don't smell very bad there is hope :main_yes: !

I candle my eggs sometimes just for the heck of it, but I"ve had too many times where an egg looked fertile and didn't hatch or where it didn't look fertile and did hatch. I think the best policy is to just not worry about it and be optimistic unless the egg gets moldy.
