If you love A-1, try not to take offense...
I think that A-1 steak sauce is the one of the worst inventions known to man.
It takes all of the taste and flavor of an expensive piece of meat, and makes it taste like, a bottle of steak sauce. It does nothing to enhance the flavor of an expensive piece of steak, yet they market its necessity when eating expensive meat.
I hate their commercials, because no one cares that much about some crappy "Steak Sauce". Good steak doesn't need sauce, most steaks don't. No one is going to walk down a Hotel hallway and see an old piece of steak, next to a glop of steak sauce, and eat it out in the hallway. And a question, A-1, why--in that hotel commercial-- is there even a piece of steak and so much sauce left over on that plate? Isn't your whole angle that you just CANT HAVE ENOUGH steak sauce? Your other commercials show guys jumping in their chairs at nice restaurants, just to get that last drop out of your bottle. Why was there so much wasted sauce?
I honestly get annoyed when people use A-1 Steak Sauce. Sometimes I wonder if people who use A-1 have ever had a piece of steak without that unnecessary sauce. With steak--one of the most expensive meals--why hide the flavor with some over flavored sauce?
Steak is one of the only pieces of meat that requires nothing more than some salt and minor seasonings.(the stupid "A-1" on a burger commercial just came on as I am typing this)
As a college student, I don't get to eat steak very often. When I eat steak, I want to eat some steak, not some steak covered in "steak sauce"...especially if I am paying $15 just for the meat.
Am I the only one who feels this way?:main_laugh:
