How big do those get? And how bid is that enclosure

males get 4 to 5 ft while females average 34 to 42 inches in most cases are just at 37 inches. The cage right there is when the female isn't nesting and it measures 8x2x4 with 2feet of dirt inside. My sub adult and lone male are kept in 2 8x4x5's

Love your monitor. I wish more people housed there monitors properly, as you do. Too many monitors are not housed properly.

I have worked very hard on them and have put hundreds/thousands into there caging and feeding the last 2 years but sadly it seems im going to sell them. I have eggs in the incubator but even though i have that i see so many monitors in bad shape i dont see any need to bring someone in to this world to be put into a fish tank and die. There are a few real dedicated people i know working with argus and other monitors and they have told me the same thing and even said when they sell any large monitor they expect 1 out 20 to be give the right caging and care. Thats one problem i see with large reptiles and i decided to work with only small species now as it doesnt break the bank to feed them or house them and on top of that any babies produced will most likely find a home that can actually care for them compared to them. So out of the 6 argus and 3 crosses i have found good homes for all of them expect a pair of argus, I'm so happy i asked many questions and asked for photos of the new homes they were going too. a pair of my argus went to a man in TX who is giving them a 12x6x6 cage and one female that will be leaving this Tuesday is going to a zoo in iL and is going on display in a 9x5x8 cage. The next 1- whenever weeks will be the last time i will be working with these guys and hopefully i get a chance to work with the dwarfs monitors in the future
