Hi guys, first post and not a happy one. Got my leo from a local pet store seemed to be in ok health (didnt seem to be bad considering not the best conditions he was kept in) I have just noticed quite a large lump just behind his front left leg. He is eating fine and it dosn't seem to affect his movement. Will try and post pics as soon as poss. Only thing i can associate it with is like a cist on a person.
Any help appreciated

If it kind of feels like an air pocket ( sort of squishy) it could be one of the calcium pockets that they get. Most of my females seem to get these and a couple of my fat boys have them too. The people on here and my vet said it is normal.

lump could be calcium sack

Hey, I'm not an expert, but don't be too worried... some of my leos also have a lump behind their front legs. It can be caused by eating too much calcium, and it is not a disease. Is it just a little inflated sack like an air-bag? Then, that's probably the calcium. It doesn't harm them. You could think about removing your calcium bowl for a week or so.

I've never seen a tumor on a leo (do they get cancer?!?), but maybe you're able to distinguish those two things. If your gecko overall looks and acts healthy, it's probably nothing to worry about :main_yes:

Greetings,

Those pockets in the "arm pits" are basically storage areas for extra stuff, it could be vitamins, calcium, proteins, etc. Nothing to worry about! Sometimes they come and go, some geckos have them forever.
