I will be the first to admit that I just don't see the difference between some of my eclipses and the ABS,

I'm beginning to think that also ??.I've looked at as meny true eclipse snake eyes as possible and i'm now thinking that too.Like the white nose that is a trait of true eclipse i'm also starting to beleave that red iris vains are just another characteristic of the eclipse gene when the iris is expressed there are a lot of eclipse snake eyes with red iris vaining out there.

:main_laugh: Thought I would add that Matt (SaSobek) sold me a eclipse who's eyes faded last year that is a spitting image of a Abyssinian ..... Boy am I stoked, now I can mate him and charge $700 for hatchlings.. what a steal:main_lipsrsealed:

Snap Paul, LOL - this fella we bought from Kelli last year (Eclipse het Raptor), this is what RT said when we mailed him:
"This is very likely an Abyssinian.
We let out the genes in some of our Eclipse and Raptors in 2005.
R".

So we might have to bump the prices of his off spring up and few £'s!!

Cheer's RT :)

"The ENIGMAS also can display a physical defect in the form of shaking, spinning and/or head arching. The exact reason for this behavior is still largely unknown, but it is seen to a lesser degree in young whereby only one parent is an ENIGMA. ENIGMAS bred to each other may amplify this problem".

As for this statement - what a load of poppycock!
We bred Enigma x Enigma, we only produced 2 clutches until we outcrossed then to other morphs, 2 were affected, 2 were and are fine.
We've since had one Enigma Het Bell (Bell Enigma x High Yellow parentage) which has shown a peculiar head twitching!
We have had 3 Enigma go to our vet who is sending them off for research, so we will be the pioneers in finding out what exactly is causing this.
