I always leave a bit of carrot or apple in when i feed crickets. None of my geckos have ever eaten it. They're not attracted to it, as they don't recognize it as prey.

Fair enough.lol. but am i right in saying it is bad for them? i think i read that... am i just imagining that lol.
Oh yeah, they can't digest plant matter. Their system doesn't know what to do with it, so bad things happen. But...we can't digest rocks, so generally we aren't attracted to them* as a food source
*unless we have the eating disorder pica.
