They sell Dried Mealworms and Crickets right next to the Beer Nuts at my local corner store. Insects are protein and are staples around the world. I am sure with enough spices and what not you would not be able to tell what you were eating. All I know is Crickets are some smelly dirty things and mealworms don't smell much better. I think the only time I would eat insects is if I absolutely had to. Since there is a market right down the street I don't see it happening any time soon. Fat Porterhouse anyonye???

I ate a grasshopper once and tried a mealworm.
Mealworm was like nothing and the grasshopper was not bad at all(i ate one at the world expo in Germany a couple of years ago and they where special one raised to be eaten by humans)
And i ate like probably most of us,the occasional worm as a kid.

It would be horrible if it bites the inside of your mouth. They would be getting my geckos at the top of their heads and at the sides of their mouths all the time.

i've eaten a mealworm i think? its the worm in the tequila bottle right lol? and in those lollipops (SP)

i also ate crickets, grasshopers, and a scorpion. in ROTC we had a desert servival course so these were some of the many things we had to try.

Wow that's very interesting.. I too have eaten a scorpion, but it was in the tequila bottle, lol, so it tasted like.. tequila!

What did your scorpion taste like? that's just nuts!

I had tried dog food when I was a little kid. The wet food actually tastes like what it says on the can. It was good, until I found out they were parts I wouldn't want to eat, and grade D meat.

Then they were giving out free dog cookies at the humane society, so I took a few packages. My dogs were loving them, so I put one in my mouth, and sucked on it, tastes like oreos. I was like wow! It looks like what it tastes.

LOL yeah.. as a kid I would eat those dog treats that are shaped like bones (the ones that come in like 5 different colors), and I thought the red ones were better than all the others, lmao.. I have eaten dog food and cat food as a little kid, although I think that is pretty normal because I've heard a lot of stories from other people doing the same

Kids will eat just about anything.. does anyone remember eating stuff when they were little and thinking it was the greatest thing in the world, just to find out that it's really nasty food now that you are older? Like those Kid Cuisines, LOL

my sister used to actually eat handfuls of dog food when she was like one or 2 LOL
