That sounds like a real reach for me! :main_yes:

thats because your probably a colts fan....you cant honestly say he doesnt do it if you watch he does. but either way yelling at your teammates is part of sports lol. at least they are not yelling at the fans like phillip rivers.

I think you should practice what you preach. The Patriots lost, and the ONLY thing ANYONE will remember is how the Giants beat the "supposed" best NFL team ever.

This has to be the BEST superbowl game in YEARS! CONGRATS GIANTS!!!!!

How do i need to practice what i preach? I havent knocked any team or player because i dont like them. him knocking brady for just not liking him has nothing to do with the superbowl either. I even said it was a good game and the giants just made a couple more plays. david tyree's catch was nothing short of amazing. But he's knocking brady for doing what alot of other quaterbacks do whether you choose to see it or not.

oh and it was the 72 dolphins but yes that was the main reason i wanted the pats to win....Mercury Morris is probably the most annoying person ive ever heard speak and he wont shut up

I'm a huge New York Giant (born in NY) fan but I'm like still in total shock that we were able to pull that win. Everywhere on the T.V. and people I work with kept saying that we were going to lose and the way the Defence played was absolutely the way we had to beat the Pats in order to win that game. It was by far one of the best games I've seen in a long time.

You're way off! I'm a fan of an NFC team, and it's mentioned in earlier posts I've made to this thread

Not sure, and quite frankly don't care. I'm sure he's a decent leader, and he seems like a genuinely nice guy when you watch his clips on T.V.

You knocked both Manning and Rothlesburger in the exact same post I commented on.

lol i was just making my point and responding to comments about brady.

a) brady is not the only one that yells at his teammates, i only said peyton manning b/c i have seen him do it b4...honestly im not knocking him b/c i dont see the problem with it he is a great leader as is brady and most all the quaterbacks in the league or they wouldnt be in the position they are.
b) the rothlesburger comment was in response to brady not being a good role model and again that was just an example of another player doing something that would not be deemed fit for a "role model". which i dont see how you can call any athlete or star a good role model these days b/c the media always drags something negative from their lives and makes it a big deal whether its something really bad or not they get crucified for it.
c) i also said something about phillip rivers too...but honestly he was yelling at the fans...that is a lil too far IMO, but hey i dont hate him, he played the afc champ game on 1 leg basically, you gotta respect that.

i dont think either of my comments were "knocks" on the players they were just examples used to defend some of the "knocks" on brady. Also neither of those were b/c i dont like them, peyton manning is one of the greatest qb's ever and rothlesberger could be one of the best, he's so young and he's already got a championship.

knocking up a girlfriend then leaving when you find out she's several months along is a little different from riding a motorcycle without a helmet, especially when the state of pa leaves the helmet choice up to the rider. that was quite a reach to compare the two.
maybe it's just the media's love affair with showing brady's face every 3 seconds, but you don't see peyton screaming at his recievers nearly as often, if anything you get shots of him looking upset and disappointed in himself for missing open guys. you also don't see any qb in the leage getting in the officials' faces after every knockdown or bad throw he makes whining for a call either, except maybe carson palmer, it's like the privilege of getting so many questionable game-saving calls has gone to brady's head.

There's a difference between leaving and then later on finding out she's pregnant and leaving when you find out she's pregnant. :main_robin:

"...Brady dated actress Bridget Moynahan from 2004 until late 2006.[25] On February 18, 2007, Moynahan confirmed to People magazine that she was more than three months pregnant with her and Brady's child.[25][26] Brady and Moynahan ended their relationship sometime in early December 2006, around the time Moynahan became pregnant..."

it might have been a reach to compare b/c yes they are different situations, but even saying the state leaves it up to the rider doesnt mean its right for somebody whos a "role model". just like with knocking up a girlfriend and leaving them, neither is illegal but neither are the best use of judgment. The media does have a love affair with brady and romo for that matter...why? i dont know? thats the media's deal. regardless of how often peyton yells at his receivers he does do it which was my point. he also yells at his line when they miss a block which i think any qb will do to keep them in check. and i just disagree with not seeing other qb's get in the officials' faces whining for a call b/c it does happen thats what qb's do except for jon kitna he's used to getting hit :D he was obviously more tightly wound last nite tho b/c it was the superbowl and the pressure of going undefeated was outrageous.

Have you guys ever played a sport? All of the "leaders" I would consider on the teams I've been on, were the ones that (calmly) argued questionable calls and got in everyone elses face when they did something wrong. As long as they can also admit their mistakes, you learn to respect them for that and try to do your best.

My only other comment about this recent debate... wasnt Big Ben prohibited to ride his motorcycle under contract?? Meaning he agreed to it and signed that he would abide by that, and then did it anyway? Much more football related than leaving a g/f that unknowingly was pregnant. And no, again, I dont dislike Big Ben, and I'm not a Pats fan.

But still...why is this even coming up in a debate about football teams? Can't anyone enjoy the games?
