a little of both, he will nip at you but mostly i think he's just scared. gonna take some time but i think i can get him used to me. going to be working on a larger enclosure in the next few weeks as well. pretty tight in that neodesha right now and he has the advantage when im trying to clean or feed

yeah im just letting him settle in for now. was a big move for him and hes probably stressed. im really trying to tell if he has any stuck shed anywhere but so far looks good. and he's a healthy eater so im not worried about weight. i'm gonna let him settle in for a few more days before even trying to handle him. will give me some time to plan out and start working on a new habitat.

He's gorgeous! I saw a full grown, tame adult at a show awhile back and I wanted it soooo bad. I just had no place to put it.:(

thanks for the links guys. ive been reading a ton on the tegus and i think ive got it pretty close. i don't think i'll EVER have to worry about him eating thats for sure. and yeah, he's like a little komodo dragon in my house, cept he's that awesome red color. ive kept large reptiles before, but nothing like him. can't wait until he's used to me. he should grow another 1 to 1.5 feet as well
