A few years back on the forum of my student union we started the best topic ever. Someone would upload a picture of a landmark somewhere in the world. People would have to find the location of the landmark, the first one to find it had to put up a new picture.

Since this is a worldwide forum it will be a good challenge to find a mysterious photo but it should also be a fun challenge to get to know about places in the world.

Rules are as follows:

* pictures should show a specific landmark/building/natural wonder/ etc.

* don't link pictures directly from the internet, makes it very easy to follow the URL :)

* sometimes it's easy to find the picture on the internet by using certain applications, but hey, what's the fun in that :)

* when coming up with a solution, try to be as specific as possible: location, eventual name of the landmark.

I'll start with a picture of a place I used to live close to for awhile! Good Luck!

I had heard of it once years ago. It wasn't an easy one to figure out.

Sorry, forgot I needed to post. :main_laugh: Anyway, I actually worked on a mountain-top that overlooked this island back in the early 90s. Talk about a dream job. :main_cool3: This island is famous for a philosopher and a very well known family. Good Luck!

Ok I'm releasing some thoughts on this pictures...after googling on island/bay/church.

Because I think there's a church on the island with a cross on it. So it will probably be either South America Or the Mediterranean...or somewhere around Europe...

Depending on ones definition of a Greek Island, there are over 3,000 islands of which only about 168 are inhabited. If you count every rock you'd want to avoid with your boat then there are millions of Greek islands!

This might take awhile, unless we count Mel&Keiths answer as correct :)
