It does list:

"(19) The Burmese/Indian, African Rock, amethystine and reticulated of the pythonidae"

don't lots of people have burmese and reticulated pythons?

I won't be moving to Connecticut any time soon as one day I'd like to at least keep Helodermatids and Dendrobatids, maybe even some retics (Dwarfs). Oh well, plenty of other states but I do feel bad for anyone in CT affected by this I agree with most of the animals but disagree with a few of them.

hello,
So does this mean my letter was disregarded , I know you must recieve a large volume
of emails on various topics ,but this responce is cold and mechinical , it does not even give the sense of security that, "Great! my letter actually got through " your auto responce didnt grace my topic in the blanket responce thats posted , i dont expect you to agree with my
topic ,( but i wouldnt understand why not ) but to at least hear two sentences saying hey
this is your topic this is my reply , im human , your votes not wasted on me

thank you

Just to clarify, since it seems some are having a problem understanding, this post is NOT about HR 669, the federal bill that we have all been hearing about recently that looks to ban most non native animals as pets. This is a new law that apparantly has passed in the state of Connecticut that makes it illegal to posses (among others) dart frogs, burmese pythons, nile monitors, tarantulas and scorpians. So if you choose to live in Connecticut you cannot have a pet tarantula.

I'm kinda bummmed by this. What's going to happen to all the soon to be illegals? Can the owners get special permits saying "I owned this before you banned it"? Isn't that what is normally done in these situations?

At least any CT herp owners here know about this new thing and can contact the proper authorities with any questions.
