At my wits end!!!

FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!!

Sorry guys, I just really needed to say that. I've been sick for 4 days, running between a 102-103F temp if left unchecked. Can't keep a thing down, and now I'm coughing so hard and long it's making me gag. I went to the doctor yesterday (of course, Urgent Care, so you pay 10 times as much), and got sent away with an "oh, it's just the nasty flu bug floating around...drink plenty of fluids and get plenty of rest"...today I'm worse, and it's moved into my chest. I NEVER GET SICK, and absolutey despise being this helpless. This has to be the combination of all the illnesses I've dodged over the last 5 years, all trying to kill me now. It's something evil, let me tell ya!! This is what I get for kissing my friend's kid - he's fine now, but my immune system must be down...I can't seem to kick this shit!!!! All this, and I'm completely alone. Do you know how much it sucks taking care of yourself when you are this sick? Lol...yes I'm being a baby, I can't help it So please send good, healing vibes my way! I need this to be over, it's driving me insane.

Aww Heather, that really sucks when you're that sick. I hope you get better soon! I like to eat lots of soup when i'm sick. Didn't they give you any cough medicine to take? Maybe since you've already been seen you could call them and ask for a script for some cough suppresant. If I lived closer to you, i'd bring you some home-made chicken soup! And I hear you on the part about having to take care of yourself...it's no fun at all...i'm sure that will all soon change though. Best wishes and positive healthy vibes to you from S. Florida!

Thanks Maia No, they didn't give me a thing when I went yesterday, just told me to continue taking Tylenol, or my choice of pain supressant. I've tried the soup thing...I can't really taste it very well, and it never stays down long anyway People have offered to come keep me company, but I would feel AWFUL if I got someone else sick like this. I think I will be going back in to see a doctor tomorrow if I'm not feeling any better...and I will DEMAND some sort of medication. I can't let this turn into Brochitis.

Thanks Kasey That means a lot. The worst part about this is not being able to EAT lol. The neighbors are BBQing chicken right now...it smells AMAZING but at the same time is making me sick to my stomach I've lost 10 lbs in the last 3 days bc of this crap...ugh!!!

Uugh, been there and done that.. I had the stomach virus from hell a few years ago and I couldn't even keep water down. Talk about weigh loss and dehydration (which led to even more vomiting, of course..)

I hope you feel better soon Heather. The last time I got sick it was from one of my friends kids too. Evil little beasts. :main_laugh: I'm joking I love kids, but not while their sick. lol I was in the exact same situation as far as the BBQ goes. For a minute it smelled sooo good, and then my stomach took a turn for the worst. I feel your pain.

That's just it, her kid LOVES me. He kisses me every time he sees me lol. He was all stealth too...didn't seem sick at ALL. Dang cute little germ carrying things!

Awww I'm sorry to hear this Heather. Be carefull with the coughing like that, I cracked a rib 6 years ago with something that made me cough non stop and gaging uncontrollable like that. Grab a pillow and hug it when you cough like that, it will help give you a stronger cough to get whatever it is out and not hurt so much. ( little trick they tell people that have had open heart surgery, but it works!!)

Fe - I will definitely remember that. This coughing is KILLING me...I just can't stop. I'm trying to fight it becaue it hurts so bad, but fighting it hurts just as bad! I better have some killer abs after all this :main_laugh:

Heather go back to the doctor again. If you do have the flu it could be (not trying to freak you out here) the swine flu. The doc needs to prescribe one of the anti viral drugs to help your body fight the virus. I hope you start feeling better soon. I've only had the flu once in my life and it was the worst I've ever felt, I thought I was gonna die, so I know how shitty it is. ((HUG))

Thanks Kelli That had DEFINITELY crossed my mind! I have had the flu many times before (when going through school) and never had felt like this! I did speak to the doctor over the phone (same one that saw me) this morning, and he said he is positive what I have is NOT swine flu and that there is apparently a really bad flu case going around our area. Odd time of year he said but that's just how it is. I am actually feeling noticeably better today, the cough is the only thing left...and a headache, as a result of coughing. Thank gosh the fever has gotten to 99-100. Nothing crazy like before! If by monday the cough has not completely cleared up I will be going in to be sure I nip it in the bud before it turns into Bronchitis. Thanks for all the sweet hugs and well wishes you guys :sweetheart:
