Baby leo's eating

Ok, I have some baby leos that I feed 4-5 1/4" crickets to daily. They eat everyone of them and I hardly ever find left overs the next day. (I of course can not feed mealies right now as they are impossible to find). My question basically is this, they are about a month old and still hovering the 5-7 gram mark. They eat daily but never seem to gain weight. They have calcium in their bowls and water as well. Is there a trick to beef them up quicker. They look completely healthy and all, I just want to put some weight on them for a piece of mind. Just so you know, their hot spot (flexwatt) stays about 90-92 degrees and their poo looks fine. Any advise is welcomed.

I use waxworms and my Juvenile literally doubled its weight after 3 feedings of them... that is due to the high fat content whereas crickets are low in fat and higher in protein... thus giving them a more slender build...

I just checked my hatchling weight records. The average weight at 3 weeks is 6.5 grams. Almost all of them put 2 - 3 grams per week up until 10 weeks. Somewhere around the 10 -11th week they seem to have a 6 - 8 gram growth spurt and then the growth seems to slow to .5g per week after that.

These are the averages from 7 hatchlings over 12 weeks and an additional 9 hatchlings under 10 weeks. (It is hardley enough data for a good solid average but it does give somewhat of a guide.

It looks like you will be seeing some weekly growth starting here soon. I do alternate food for our leos and the most of them like the change. Mealworms, silkworms, crickets, supers (not for hatchlings).

You could possibly change your feeder but I beleive you will see growth with whatever feeder you use. Good luck.
