Hey Everyone,

We've been away from the forums for quite awhile (not voluntarily of course :) ) and I wanted to first say hi to everyone and apologize for not being around. Second, we wanted to show you all something that we've never encountered before..

and lets see if anyone has anything that can match or beat it!!

We've incorporated giants into our breeding projects since the very beginning. We've had many giant offspring and several super giants. As a meathead myself, the giants always appealed to me, with their bulky little walk to their wide bellies.. oh wait? i think thats me.. :)

Anyhoo, i've attached some pics of an egg that is larger than anything we've seen in our projects or anyone elses. This sucker is HUGE!

Both parents are 3rd Generation Giants fromt the same parents.

Male - Giant Hypo Tangerine - 100% Het Tremper Albino "Bruce" - 102 Grams

Female - Giant Tangerine Tremper Albino, "Whitney" - 96 Grams

Notice - They are regular Giants, NOT Super Giants. They are also not the largest of our giants now or in the past. Which just makes it more of an anomoly. Even our Super Giant eggs haven't been this large!

I placed some other eggs we had from two normal sized parents next to it, so you can see the contrast in size. It's honestly ridiculous to see this thing.

Contest? Prizes? Anyone game???

Great to see and get in touch with everyone!

Take Care,

Mj:main_thumbsup:

I bet you theres a super giant conjoined twin in there :D I had a "double" egg from my giant Raptor male bred to a super giant Aptor--only one egg in the clutch--but it was almost 2" long!?! I wish it would've been fertile...

WOW that is one super-sized egg for sure!! It's interesting how you can get such a large egg, and it's not even from Super Giants!!! We thought we had some large eggs, but never anything like that ;)

We have one that I'm not sure is going to hatch or not since it's a bit moldy and sunken in some...but it is just as large as that one. Very awesome egg!

Yes......A very nice size egg. Hope it turns out great for you.
I recently had one that was close to the measurement you show.
It was about 1 1/4" or so but really big around. I weighed it at 11 grams.
It was from a first year S.S. female. The biggest egg I had seen. It hatched and what appeared to be a foot long baby shot out and was even still dragging the yoke. At first I thought it was a snake. Turned out at the first measurement just out of the egg, it was near 3 1/2 inches. First Photo taken is shown......Take care. HJ

And then here is a photo at 29 days.
Not Hugh, but not too bad at 5 1 /2 " and 15 grams.

I've noticed that our Giant eggs are much larger than Normal eggs but we've had plenty of eggs that were huge and only had normal sized babies in them. Sometimes eggs have thinner shells and absorb a lot of water which causes them to swell to enormous sizes.
