I know from experiance with yellow bellies that based on the location they are from they can be insectivores or rodent eaters. I wouldn't imagine that they are to different from yellow bellies in their care. I kept mine at 85 degree warm side and let it cool down to 75 on the cool end. Give them a moist hide and dry hide and regular water. Not to difficult. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong but this is what I've found in my experiances. Good luck with them they are beauties.:main_thumbsup:

From the very limited information I can get on them... They can adapt to just about any environment and can be kept at room temp.
Babies eat small lizards, fish and insects. Adults larger lizards and mice.

They look like they eat very well in captivity, but are very picky on what foods they will eat...

I have one hide and they also they go under the newspaper. Also 1 large water dish about 1/2inch of water. I will probably add a moist hide.

I usually don't keep wild animals I find, but racers are EVERYWHERE.

We will see....

More info is welcomed!

You can keep them like any North American colubid... My personal experience with them is that they will eat pretty much anything you offer them... They get huge and are quite aggressive... That is what I like about them too... LOL They almost never seem to get used to you... LOL... Fun species to keep for sure...
