from what ive read on the net there are quite a few people who dont use incubators and just leave them in the moist hide like that.

Jason I dont know about dumb, But Lucky sure comes to mind lol! Alot of people have trouble (including myself) getting temps, and dampness right in there incubators. You manage to do this in a lay box lol! Way to go
