Braces coming off FINALLY!!!!!!

After a year and a half with braces, here is my timeline of pictures. 1 before i got them on, and ones from this year after having them for a year. I'll post pictures of me w.o them when i get home from the orthodontist tomorrow with NO BRACES!!!!!!

As you can see, I changed ALOT after having braces on . I'll DEFINATELY be posting pictures of me w/o braces after i get them off tomorrow morning

I rejoiced when I finally got mine off. I had them for 2 and a half years. I had the retainers for another year, but they were way better than the braces themselves. Congrats!

lol thanks. im glad i only have them on for a year and a half. I was SUPPOSED to get them off this October, after freshman year starts, but YAY I get them off before school is even OVER!!!!! ....dat must've sucked to have them on for 2 & a half years...at least they're off now

Congrats Emily!!! Oh, and from experience...don't freak out when you think your teeth are HUGE lol. My teeth felt gigantic when I finally got my braces off after 3 years!!! Can't wait to see pics :main_yes:

That was my FIRST thought when i looked in the mirror.....HOLY CRAP THESE TEETH ARE HUGE!!!!!!!! :main_laugh:

lol @ brittany. im definately gona do as im told with that......not like i did with my braces....i didnt listen to what i was and wasnt supposed to eat lol

ok heres a pic i snapped after i got my braces off

lools ;ike i have bruises under my eyes but i dont.... was playing with makeup last night and gave myself "rag burn" i think you would call it. i scrubbed the waterproof eyeliner with the washcloth too hard trying to get it off....

I am SOOOOOOO happy for you!!! And you're just so lucky to get them off so early, I had to wear braces from the age of 13 to 17 :main_thumbsdown:

Oh and I totally felt like my teeth were HUGE after getting mine off.. that will soon fade Just remember to wear your retainer, because I never did and I regret that now.

But I was crazy! Omg.. I shouldn't hijack this thread.. but I totally did.. I tried everything.. I was like um.. I have an overbite, underbite, my whole mouth is twisted, I think I wanted the outcome more then anything .. I always used to pretend to have a retainer.. which I made out of a paper clip.. me = crazy. I still want them.. but now I just want to have perfect straight teeth.. not naturally straight.

OMG LOL and to imagine how much I always wished to have normal, naturally straight teeth, and here you are wishing you could get braces!!! JEEZ!! LOL we could have switched places ANY day!! I seriously had some issues with my self-image because of my messed up teeth.. it was pretty rough for me back then, to say the very least.

I'm happy that you finally got your braces off. I was suppose to get braces in like the 9th or 10th grade but I totally refused. My mom wasn't happy but when they estimated the cost she agreed, lol.
