Wow that looks like fun. I thought about having a separate building for my reptiles, but then I realized that there wouldn't be any point in having an actual house for me because I'd be in the reptile building 24/7. lol

Hey, how deep is the frost line in NY?

Here is the poured foundation complete with anchor bolts and brushed grooves to help with drainage...

The building is will be appox. 220 square feet... Plenty of room for the animals and lots of room for more...

Gregg... go bigger and move into it yourself, then make your house the reptile room...... lol.

Keeping the hots in a seperate building may be a good and bad idea. I would hate to hear about one getting the neighbors cat (and it living... hahaha)

Awesome Gregg, I am sure it is going to be sweet, and I can't believe how many people are looking at this one thread, you are making everyone want to hit home depot for building materials for their own reptile house!!

The frost line question--in MA we needed to set our porch supports down 4'. I'm guessing NY is the same.

220 sq ft? I'm still shaking my head out of envy. Best of luck with the project.
