wow, and I thought that is was bad here...but all I can say is I HATE MY MOTHER!!!!!!
She is on a cruise in the carribean right now.....there are so many things I'd like to call her for not taking me....Grams just had to schedule it when she knew I wouldn't be able to tag along:main_thumbsdown:

Hundreds of schools in Ohio were closed today. According to weather.com it was 3 degrees, but felt like -20 degrees. This SUCKS! I hate hate hate winter.:main_thumbsdown:

We had -10 with -30 wind chill today and still had classes. The high schools were closed though.

I can't remember Indiana ever getting this cold in winter! Right now its -3, overnight low is -6, and tomorrows high is 10. Are you kidding me?

Current check of temps..... -2 with windchill at -10. Oh, and Lake Erie froze over! As warm as it was by the 1st of the year, they said it wouldn't freeze, too late in the season. HAHAHAHA what do they know!

I know how everyone is feeling. Here in VA the temp was 10 degrees yesterday with -5 wind chill and today its 9 degrees and -6 wind chill. It wont even get over 20 degrees by 5pm And tonight we will be getting snow! Probably not too much but snow none the less. I think this is the coldest its ever been since I moved here 11 years ago! Shoot I can't wait to move to New Mexico!!!! Deb

I don't understand how school isn't cancelled from -30 wind chill yesterday, or -10 wind chill today with 6 inches of snow so far....

I think they only closed the school here in Ohio, because the parents got a little ticked off a few years ago when we were getting -70 with windchill and they didn't close the schools. They set a standard that if it was -20 they would shut the schools. We were due to have -24 today with windchill.

It's snowing now and it's coming down fast. All of our main roads...the whole two we have are completely covered and the back roads are even worse because of the drifting. Did I mention it's freezing too?

:main_angry: I had to run to the store to get some soda, and hubby made me take his truck so I would warm it up for him. I think he should have warmed it up for ME!!!

It's 6:30 am and the temp here is -8 degrees
The wind chill is -21 and we had 3 to 4 inches of snowfall yesterday and we actually got off light on snowfall compared to the more northern portions of the state
Have I mentioned that I HATE winter yet??
I swear that if I am ever able to-I am going to move to Ariz. or New Mexico and be happy there sweating (when I am outdoors of course) during the summer months
To me-it is much easier to keep cool with a/c or a swamp cooler etc than to try and keep warm once you "catch a chill" in the extreme cold weather
Tolerating the extremes in cold/heat and the humidity here gets harder for me every year
I have pains in places that I wasn't aware of that I could have pains in-LOL
Please-everyone be careful in this insane cold spell that alot of us are experiencing
Make sure that you have emergency kits in your cars and change your furnace filters on a regular basis
Everyone-take care and keep warm
It has got to warm up sooner or later

I'm thinking the truck would make a good bon fire!!! Hubby asked me to take Zach to school this morning in the truck so he didn't have to move it to the street, cause it's garbage day. OMG my hands almost stuck to the steering wheel, I've got a nice warm cover on the one in my van.
I don't get why almost all the schools around me were closed and not the ones here in River!!! It would have been nice to sleep in again today!
I'm also kicking myself in the buttcus for not getting the chimney sweep out here.....I can't start a fire!!! Man that truck's looking like good kindling about now. hehehehe
