I was just curious on what is the best cleaning solution to use for cages. I am using Quat Plus from Big Apple right now and will be probably switching to Wipe Out 1 from Zoo Med. Just curious what most are using and what is the best to use and where I could get big bulk.

I use a white vinegar/water solution. Seems to do the trick and it's safe to use around animals because it's all natural! :)

I thought I was the only one that used this! Good to know there are others. :main_yes:

I reccomend vinegar also, I don't use bleach like some do because it seems a little too harmful and such.

I really like Healthy Habitat but since we can't find it in Gallons anymore we just use it for the Cresteds and we use Chlorhexidine for the Leos.

Thanks for all your input. I think I am going to try the vinegar solution. If it works it is def the best due to cost and how many tanks and tubs I clean regularly.

I use vinegar/water 1:10 as well. Works great for me and my leos don't seem to mind.

I use vinegar/water mix also, but I've been known to use a baby wipe to clean up a poo. :main_laugh:
I used to use windex to clean the OUTSIDE glass, until I found out it will kill off any crickets that are nearby. I used to keep their enclosure under the table the geckos are on.
