Leo Tanks

Here are a couple 10gal tanks we setup for some small geckos. We used small, marble tile for the floor (from Home Depot).

Cage carpet

Left cave has moss in it (this is where they poop! lol)

Right cave is where the heat pad and light are located (they love to sleep and hang out here

Water dish

Log that they love running and jumping off of

(U can see Luke sleeping on the left cave and Lizzy sleeping by the water dish)

the reason i havent got many being used right now is because im stocking up tanks for when i get my breeding program up and running

Are you using the exo-terra cagesthey look a little cramped- not a lot of floor space... :-\ I'd also worry about the log in the first picture from falling off the water barrel thing. It doesn't look sturdy by any means.

yes its an exo terra its an 18x18x18 the 2 that are in there are in there because they dont use the floor space they are hiders but i suppose i could get rid of the rock and alot of their space is being taken up by the mealworm containers the one they eat out of the other is in there to stay warm and promote breeding so i can get a backup colony going. As for the piece of drift wood its extremely light even lighter than the lizards and is secured at the other end between a pice of slate and a rock

Which substrate do you see as problematic? The sand in the leos tank hasnt been a problem they seem to love it, even dig once in a while. same thing with the fat tail, she digs once in a while and doesnt have a problem with it. the only thing i would say is problematic is the stuff in the red eyes tank, i may switch it out for something actually. i noticed when she started crawling around that it would stick to her a lot what with the moisture. in which case im all for anyones suggestions for better housing and substrates.
Very best.

i agree, im going to cover that soil with moss, similar to the problems with sand, small wet frogs and small granules of soil dont mix. it covers them badly.
