I really love pits.

Those two are already pretty sharp looking, not as flashy as some of them but I am really digging the particular tones for the gradual darkening from head to tail on those two. Be sure to take shots at least once a month to show the color changes as they age- they usually wash out to a pretty distinct appearance and being able to put together a visual timeline is pretty sweet. Are you hoping they retain the yellow or are you hoping for the complete gray wash?

thanks seamus. i am hoping they retain some of the yellows and "reds" the parents to these guys look almost like a natural type of hypomelanism. very cool. i am super excited to see how these guys turn out. they are about a month old and nice big healthy babies!

Very nice contrast on those snakes. I don't know anything about pits, but those are neat looking!

Great looking animals, Robin. I have a soft spot for bulls, they were one of the first species I kept, and really a riot to have around. Big but not too big, active, aggressive feeders and have a real subtle beauty to them. Keep us updated!
